The Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation are delighted to have supported School of Hard Knocks over the last two years with the Foundation's main grant as they continue to change the lives of children and adults using rugby, boxing and strongman courses, supported by a curriculum of powerful life lessons.

SOHK work with unemployed adults to find and sustain employment; and with school children at risk of exclusion to help them reengage with education.

Ken Cowan, CEO of SOHK, said:

"The Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation provided us with the first grant to begin our work in schools, starting with 60 pupils across 3 schools in east London back in 2014.

They have supported us with several subsequent grants which have given us the stability to be able to attract further funding and grow our SOHK for Schools programme nationally.

We now reach 1600 pupils each week, offering them rugby and mentoring from our expert staff. This programme plays a huge supportive role in the lives of children who find school a challenging place for a variety of reasons".

Ken Cowen, reflecting on the completion of their latest grant, said “thank you so much to every one of the Legends, this grant has made a huge difference on our ability to run our programmes in the last 2 years. Helping 1000s of young people on a day to day basis and bringing rugby to groups who would never otherwise play the sport. We are all so grateful for your support!“
