Wasps Legends announce Rugby Golf & Padel Classic grant recipient

We are delighted to announce that the Rugby Golf & Padel Classic ’26 Event Grant recipient is the fantastic My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

Founded by rugby legend Doddie Weir following his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation was established to fund and accelerate the most promising research into effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for MND. The Foundation also provides vital support and hope to those affected by the disease and their families.

Funds raised throughout the Rugby Golf & Padel Classic week will contribute towards the Foundation’s 2026 Catalyst Awards programme — an initiative designed to accelerate innovative MND research projects and help bring life-changing treatments closer to reality. By supporting pioneering scientific research and collaboration, the Foundation continues to drive forward progress in the fight against MND.

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation are hugely deserving recipients of this grant, and we are immensely proud to support them in their mission to create a world free of Motor Neurone Disease. We look forward to welcoming our guests to La Manga for another unforgettable week of golf, padel and fundraising in support of such a worthwhile cause.
