Bath Rugby Foundation Awarded £11,000 Long Lunch Event Grant

We are delighted to announce that as the recipient of our Long Lunch Event Grant, Bath Rugby Foundation have received a grant of £11,000!

Our support will help to grow their Hi5! Club, an inclusive sports programme for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Hi5! Club provides weekly opportunities for those aged 7–25 to take part in rugby, golf, and multisports, while also building friendships and confidence through social time.

Halena Coury, Head of Fundraising at Bath Rugby Foundation said:

“From all of us at Bath Rugby Foundation, thank you for standing alongside us this year. Your support helps us do what matters most; change young lives through the values of rugby.

Across our programmes, from Hi5! Club, which you have supported, to our Alternative Learning Hub, we work with young people who are often isolated, anxious, or disengaged from school and community life. But when they walk into one of our Clubs or sessions, something shifts. They’re welcomed, believed in, and given a place to belong.

This year we’ve seen young people take their first steps into sport, rebuild confidence, re-engage with education. Our mixed ability rugby teams are thriving. These stories are only possible because of partners like you, who recognise the power of rugby to inspire resilience, connection, and pride.

Thank you for helping us ensure every child, no matter their background, ability or circumstance, has the chance to find confidence, friendship and a future worth striving for. We’re proud to be part of the wider rugby family with you, and we look forward to continuing this life-changing work together.”

We look forward to officially presenting Bath Rugby Foundation with their grant at the Bath v Gloucester match on Saturday 28th February 2026.

We had a fantastic day at The Anthologist, which provided the perfect backdrop as we stepped back into the good old days – where laughter got louder, and the spirit of rugby shone through.

Both this event and the subsequent grant remind us why the rugby family is so special. Thank you for being part of it and for continuing to support these wonderful causes.
